Muslim Students Society Nigeria(MSSN) of LASPOTECH petitions Ambode over cult attack on Muslim students.



Worried by the current assault released on students of Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), by suspected cult members, the Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria has appealed to Governor Akinwumi Ambode of the state.

The petition which was signed by MSSN President, Lagos State Area Unit, Dr Saheed Ashafa dated Wednesday, August 30, 2017, looked for an investigation concerning the assault released on some MSSN individuals in the institution.

Ashafa in the petition, duplicate of which was made accessible to DAILY POST, asked the senator to guarantee that guilty parties of the assault were punished.

The petition titled, "Attack of individuals by Cultists", read to a limited extent, "I hereby use this medium to report to your office that members of our prestigious Organisation were attacked by cultists in their hostel on Monday.

"At around 9:20pm of the said day, the cultists came in their huge number to one of the hostels possessed by our members in the pretext and with the claim of hunting down a lost thing.

"After entering, they assaulted residents, our members and students of your renowned institution. They were assaulted and battered with different weapons along these lines exacting on them different degrees of injuries that could lead to death.

"This assault which is suspected to be have been completed by cultists is not the first on our quiet and nice members.

"Being aware of your endeavor and works towards guaranteeing a peaceful Lagos, we hereby urge your office to influence investigation concerning this attack of our abounding members who to have been peaceful and enjoying peaceful caexistence inside and outside campus."
