Cultists Burnt 65years Old Woman To Death + PHOTOS

   

A 65-year-old woman has been burnt to death by cultists in Bariga. Report tells that the woman was inside a bungalow building  located at 19, Oshinfolarin Street, Bariga and was set on fire by cultists during gangs attacks. Michael Akindele, General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, confirmed the incident.

Mr. Michael Akindele  said the Emergency Agency’s Response Team, (ERT),  Lagos State Fire Service, Lagos Ambulance Services,( LASAMBU); State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit, (SEHMU) and the Nigeria Police from Bariga divisional police station, all also responded to the heartbreaking call. Information tells that the cultist had been terrorizing the area since Friday before attacking the affected building on saturday morning, trapping all the occupants inside the building and setting the building on fire.

“A 65-year-old woman identified as Adejoke Adefuye was burnt beyond recognition in one of the rooms. She was the only person recorded for fatality case and has been taken to morgue by SEHMU. Other occupants of the building who survived with minor injuries, have been treated by LASAMBUS”.

“However, the whole occupants of the building have been displaced and might need urgent temporary shelter. The blazes was finally put out at 11:55am in the morning ,” he said.

Mr Michael Akindele, said that proper investigation would be carried out by security operatives on the incident, and also advised  Lagosians to assist the police with necessary information.
